10x Marketing Goes to Zurich Curt Porritt, President of 10x Marketing, will present new iSEO (define) information at a forum sponsored by the Localization Industry Standards Association (LISA) in Zurich, Switzerland. The forum will be held on November 7th through the 11th and will feature additional keynote speakers from organizations such as American Express, Dell, Comtech, Phillips, Oracle, Interbrand, Monster Cable, ACNielsen, XML-intl, and Xerox among others. The theme of the forum is the improvement of international market position and the development of processes and technologies that support global expansion.1 Porritt will address the topic of Google-ization (define), a term that he and his colleagues have coined with localization vendors and website owners in mind. “Google-ization is the process of translating and optimizing websites through a joint localization-optimization process that leads to better online information that is easier for qualified international buyers to find,” Porritt states. Porritt continues, “The partnership is ideal for the LISA translation agencies, 10x Marketing, and the clients and partners of each organization. 10x Marketing does not offer professional translation services but can increase the ‘visit rate’ of almost any website in almost any language. Working closely with translation agencies we help each other and our clients benefit as their websites are seen by more qualified buyers from around the world. With Google-ization, global websites become much more valuable as they attract language-specific visitors from major search engines,” Porritt states. This in turn helps these global companies achieve the goals of their translated websites, namely, to get more visitors, more buyers, and ultimately, more revenue from their international markets.
